1948 – Steve is featured in “Strength & Health” magazine in an article called, “Miss and Mr. USA”.

1949 – Steve’s pictures are featured in “Your Physique” magazine (pages 11, 16, and 28).

1949 – Steve’s pictures are featured in “Muscle Power” magazine (pages 14, 18, 19, and 21).

1949 – Steve is featured in “Strength & Health” magazine in an article called, “The Mr. and Miss USA Contest”.

1950 – Steve’s picture is featured in “Muscle Power” magazine (page 19).

1950 – Steve’s picture is featured in “Your Physique” magazine (page 15).

1952 – Steve’s picture is featured on the cover as well as in an article in the British magazine, “The Bodybuilder”.

1953 – Steve’s pictures are featured in “Muscle Power” magazine (pages 17 and 26).

1953 – Steve’s picture is featured on the cover as well as in an article on him in the British magazine, “The Bodybuilder”.

1954 – Steve’s picture is featured in the British magazine, “The Reg Park Journal” (page 22).

1954 – Steve’s picture is featured in “Muscle Power” magazine (page 43).

1954 – “Jail Bait” is released in the U.S.

1954 – Initial filming for “Athena” begins at MGM studios in Culver City, CA.

1954 – Steve’s picture is featured on the cover of “Muscle Power” magazine.

1954 – Steve is featured in an article of “Muscle Builder” magazine called, “The Immortal Steve Reeves”.

1955 – Steve’s pictures are featured in the British magazine, “The Reg Park Journal” (pages 8 and 17).

1958 – Steve’s picture is featured on the cover of “Mr. America” magazine as well as in an article simply called, “Steve Reeves”.

1958 – Steve’s picture is featured in the French magazine, “Sante et Force” (page 13).

1958 – Steve is featured in an article of “Muscle Builder” magazine called, “The Immortal Steve Reeves”.

1959 – “Hercules Unchained” in released in Italy (as “Hercules and the Queen of Lydia”) in its full 105 minute version.

1959 – The landmark film, “Hercules” is simultaneously released in the U.S. at 600 theaters across the country (unheard of at the time). Extensive promotion, including a luncheon at New York’s Waldorf Astoria for the press, preceded it.

1960 – “Giant of Marathon” is released in the U.S.

1960 – Steve’s picture is featured in “Mr. America” magazine (page 28).

1962 – “Duel of the Titans” is released in France in its full 108 minute version.

1963 – Steve’s pictures are featured in the British magazine, “Man’s World and Reg Park Journal” (pages 27 and 29).

1964 – Steve’s picture is featured in “Muscle Builder” magazine (page 9).

1965 – “Sandokan the Great” is released in the U.S. in a slightly shortened 110 minute version.

1967 – Steve’s picture is featured in “Muscular Development” magazine (page 29).

1969 – Steve’s picture is featured in the British magazine, “Man’s World and Reg Park Journal” (page 30).

1969 – “A Long Ride from Hell” is released in France in a shortened 90 minute version.

1970 – Steve’s picture is featured in “Muscular Development” magazine (page 28).

1971 – Steve’s picture is featured in “Muscular Development” magazine (page 30).

1972 – Steve’s picture (centerfold) is featured in “Muscle Training Illustrated” magazine.

1972 – Steve’s pictures are featured in “Muscular Development” magazine (pages 9 and 58).

1973 – Steve’s picture is featured in “Muscular Development” magazine (page 18).

1979 – Steve’s picture is featured in “Muscle Mag International” magazine (page 8).

1987 – Steve’s picture is featured in “Iron Man” magazine (page 123).

1987 – Steve’s picture is featured on the cover of “Muscle & Fitness” magazine as part of extensive articles on him.

1991 – Steve is featured in “Muscle Mag International” magazine in an article called, “Steve Reeves – The Man, the Legend Part 1”.

1995 – An 11X14 centerfold of Steve is featured in “Iron Man” magazine.

1997 – Steve is featured in “Muscular Development” magazine in an article simply called, “Steve Reeves”.

1998 – Steve is featured in “Muscular Development” magazine in an article called, “Ask the Legend – Steve Reeves Q&A”.

May 1, 2000 – At the age of 74, Steve Reeves passes away from a blood clot to the brain before treatments for his lymphoma were to begin.

A memorial service for him followed at the McLeod Funeral Home in Escondido, CA on

Saturday, May 6, 2000 for about 100 guests. The guest list was limited to family, close friends, special people in Steve’s life, and the media.
